Statement of Jean Christophe Graz for the EAEPE Council election:
I am a political scientist, professor of international relations at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, where I co-founded the Centre de recherche interdisciplinaire sur l’international (Crii). My field has been for the last 15 years on regulation issues in international political economy. It is from this standpoint that I linked up with EAEPE and got involved in the fertile debates that nurture the association. Critical approaches in international political economy share with evolutionary political economy the assumption that socio-economic phenomena are socially and historically produced and continuously modified through a wide array of political practices, power struggles and cooperative actions across spaces.Joining the EAEPE Council will be a unique opportunity to reinforce interdisciplinary exchanges between evolutionary economists and political scientists and develop further existing synergies on innovative research projects and academic events. I stand as a candidate for the EAEPE council elections.
